Jewish education opens doors to Jewish life, inspires tikkun olam and cements Jewish identity, so Congregation Agudas Achim supports education for all congregants – regardless of age. Congregation Agudas Achim connects teachers and learners around topics that arouse the curiosity and passion of both. We hope that by offering inspiring, convenient classes, every congregant will take part in some Jewish study every year.
Jewish education is lifelong. Parents who set an example of continued Jewish education inspire their children to embrace religious school. Parents who increase their observance of Jewish tradition are role models to their children. Parents who pick a Shabbat observance (Kol Zimrah, Family Minyan, Sanctuary Service, etc.) to attend regularly ensure the Bar/Bat Mitzvah experience is holistic and not a one-time “event.” Successful Jewish education requires parents, a school and the curiosity of a child who wants to expand her/his Jewish identity – partnerships that can last a lifetime.
