(February 8, 2013) Congregation Agudas Achim and CAA Brotherhood will host its annual Kosher Chili Cook-off on Sunday, February 10.
The event festivities will be held at noon at the Dell Jewish Campus, 7300 Hart Lane, Austin, TX 78731. The event is slated from noon to 3 p.m. Tickets are $12 per adult, $10 per student under 21 and seniors, children 4 and under are free.
The Chili Cook-Off features 20 varieties of chili and other great food. There are rides and crafts for children of all ages, as well as, local artisans selling jewelry, ceramics, and more. The event will, also, feature musical styling of local artist, Yemima.
For the past seven years, this family-friendly event has drawn teams of chili "mavens" from across the country; each one convinced their recipe has what it takes to win over the judges. Winners in the beef and vegetarian chili as well as the "People's Choice" categories take home trophies but all participants take home great memories of fun, food, Activities for the Kids and, of course, friendly competition. The event is community building in nature and the proceeds are used to further a variety of activities and causes within the community.

Save the Date for the Annual Kosher Chili Cook-Off Set for Sunday, February 10, 2013. Vegetarian chili is $125 and Meat chili is $250.
The 8th Annual Kosher Chili Cook-off, hosted by the CAA Brotherhood, will be held on Sunday, February 10th from Noon to 3:00 PM @ the “J”. Winners in the beef and vegetarian chili categories take home trophies but all participants take home great memories of fun, food, and friendly competition. This year we will also be featuring an arts/crafts market, and other kid friendly activities.
