Sisterhood

           Sisterhood Agudas Achim

Sisterhood Agudas Achim is a member of the Women’s League of Conservative Judaism.  Our mission is to strengthen and unite the women of our congregation and support them in mutual efforts, to understand and perpetuate Conservative Judaism in the home, synagogue, and community and to reinforce our bonds with Israel and Jews worldwide.

Sisterhood Agudas Achim supports our own community through a vast array of programming for the congregants and financial contributions to the Religious school, USY and other synagogue projects, such as the Kitchen and History Project.

Sisterhood manages the Judaica Shop under the direction of Mae Levitan as well as a group of dedicated volunteers.

Little known fact about the CAA Sisterhood:

CAA Sisterhood is more than just a group of women who run the gift shop or work in the kitchen.  From biblical times to modern times women have played a crucial role in the continuation and strengthening of Jewish life and culture.  Here at Congregation Agudas Achim, we provide a collective presence, voice and strength in our congregation.  As an extended family, women of all ages are welcomed and encouraged to become involved in our many cultural, religious, educational and social activities.  We develop and initiate programs and projects, which will benefit our congregation, our community, and our Sisterhood.
